You can buy milk at the grocery store in 2-quart or 4-quart containers. You bought 5 containers for a total of 10 quarts. How many of each type did you buy?

Answer:

5 2-quart containers

Explanation:

So I went through all the possible equations:

2 x 5 = 10

4 x 5 = 20

4 x 1 x 2 x 4 = 12

4 x 2 x 2 x 3 = 14

4 x 3 x 2 x 2 = 16

4 x 4 x 2 x 1 = 18

There's probably an easier method but I don't know it. Hope this was helpful!!
