Pls help!!!

alice has been in a walking/jogging program for 10 days, and each day she has recorded the distance (in miles) she covered in 30 minutes.

(photo attached)

1) what is the mean of the distance alice has walked?

2) what is the median of the distance alice has walked?

3) find the sample standard deviation for the distance.

Answer:

1) 2.23 2) 2.3

Explanation:

1) To find the mean, you have to add up all the values for distance walked. Then you divide that value by 10, the amount of days walked.

Adding them up gives you 22.3

22.3÷10=2.23

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2) To find the median, you can put the numbers in order of smallest to largest (or largest to smallest, what ever floats your boat).
1.7, 1.8, 1.9, 2.1, 2.3, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7
Then, you pick the number in the middle. Usually with even amounts of values, you have to get a number directly between the 2 middle numbers, but because our 2 middle numbers are the same, that won't be necessary.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I haven't learned standard deviation yet, but this is the best I could do with what I had TnT.
