Answer: x = 5

Explanation:

It basically means that (6x+32) is equal to (72-2x). You can add 2x to 72-2x so that it is just 72, and add +2x to 6x +32 to follow the golden rule of algebra, if you do one thing to one side, it must be done to the other.

You then have 8x + 32 = 72. Subtract 32 from both sides to where you are left with 8x = 40. Divide, and you get x = 5.
