Answer is x > -1

4 - 3x < 7
Subtract 4 from both sides

4 - 4 -3x < 7 - 4
Simplify

-3x < 3
Divide both sides by -3

-3/-3 x < 3/-3
Simplify

x > -1

*note when you divide by a negative in inequalities, the rule is you have to flip the sign.
This went from x < -1 to x> -1.
