I think the answer is B. Relationship to the environment.

The indigenous people often thought of the environment as a gift from their gods and goddesses and thought it was their duty to care for the land. But the Europeans exploited the indigenous people and their lands, for resources. The differences in the relationship and respect for the environment lead to increased tension between the Indigenous peoples and the Europeans.
