After the war, the economies of many countries in Europe were in trouble. The price of necessities like food and fuel got much higher. Many people could not find jobs. It took more money to buy the same items than it did before the war.

What were the after effects of ww1?

It led to the Russian Revolution, the collapse of the German Empire and the collapse of the Hapsburg Monarchy, and it led to the restructuring of the political order in Europe and in other parts of the world, particularly in the Middle East.

The aftermath of World War I played a significant role in shaping the economy of the Great Depression. The war had ended with a huge amount of debt for many countries, including Germany. In an attempt to repay these debts, many countries like Germany heavily relied on American loans. However, after the stock market crash of 1929, the US stopped lending money to other countries leading to a decline in global trade. This led to a sharp decrease in demand for goods which consequently triggered an economic downturn. Additionally, new technologies had led to overproduction of certain goods, leading to a glut of supply while demand remained unchanged. These factors combined led to a severe depression that lasted through the 1930s.
