Explanation:

The volume of a cube is: Vol

= length×width×height

So one cube is

3×3×3

which is 27 cm^3

There are 20 of these blocks, so times by 20.

27 × 20

= 540 cm^3

For the second question, a couple of ideas/definitions:

a rectangular prism just means a box shape, so the same volume formula works. A generic formula for all types of prisms is:

Vol = BaseArea×height

We can use this one because the question gives the BaseArea and the Volume.

Vol = BaseArea× h

60 = 20×h

Divide by 20.

3 = h

The height is 3 ft.
