PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!

"And from its branches fall like teardrops The gleaming pearls of morning dew."

What is the figurative meaning of the simile in lines 15-16? (Attachment)

There are drops of water hanging from the tips of the tree's branches.

Nature's beauty contrasts with the tree's bare appearance.

The tree seems to be grieving over its own decay and impending death.

The decaying tree's lack of leaves causes the dew to simply slide off.

Answer: The tree seems to be grieving over its own decay and impending death.

Explanation: teardrops assume sadness. I do not know from which poem this line comes, but the other possible meanings suggest a dead or dying tree, hence sadness.
