1. CaSO4(s) ⇋ Ca2+(aq) + SO42-(aq)

When Na2SO4 is added to the system, how will the equilibrium shift?

A) The system will shift left and the amount of CaSO4 would increase.

B) The system will shift left and the amount of CaSO4 would decrease.

C) The system will shift right and the amount of CaSO4 would increase.

D) The system will shift right and the amount of CaSO4 would decrease.

2. AgCl(s) ⇋ Ag+(aq) + Cl-(aq)

What effect does adding NaCl to the system have?

A) The amount of AgCl(s) would increase and the amount of Ag+(aq) would increase.

B) The amount of AgCl(s) would increase and the amount of Ag+(aq) would decrease.

C) The amount of AgCl(s) would decrease and the amount of Ag+(aq) would increase.

D) The amount of AgCl(s) would decrease and the amount of Ag+(aq) would decrease.

1. A
Adding something on the right shifts it left and you’ll make more CaSO4
2. A
You’re adding Cl ions to the solution that will form with the silver to make solid AgCl. This will decrease the amount of silver ions in solution
Hope that helps
