Answer:

  1. Josie exhibits symptoms of bulimia nervosa, which is an eating disorder characterized by binge eating followed by purging (such as induced vomiting, fasting, or excessive exercise).
  2. I suggest Josie seek professional help from a healthcare provider, such as a doctor, counsellor, or dietitian, who can support and guide her to overcome her eating disorder. Treatment may involve a combination of therapy, medication, and nutrition counselling, depending on the severity of the disorder.
  3. If left untreated, bulimia nervosa can have serious physical and emotional consequences. Some of the dangers associated with the disorder include dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, gastrointestinal problems, tooth decay, depression, anxiety, and behaviours. In severe cases, bulimia can be life-threatening. Therefore, it is important for Josie to seek help as soon as possible to address her eating disorder.
