B. It is weak, because parents will be disappointed to hear that children's
needs are not important to the planners of the center.

C. It is strong, because parents will enjoy learning that adults without
children will not be welcome at the center.

D. It is weak, because parents will fail to understand the center's mission
with only the information provided.

Thank you to the Sun Haven Parents Association for inviting me to address
you on the topic of plans for the new Sun Haven Community Center. We are
proud of the wide variety of amenities that the center will offer all members of
our community. These features include a pool, where swimmers of all ages and
abilities will be able to take swim lessons and water exercise classes; a coffee
lounge, where neighbors will be able to mingle; a free computer lab; and an
indoor playground for rainy days, with a toddler play structure, a rock climbing
wall, and a basketball court. We have heard concerns from some critics in the
community that the center plans do not include enough options for families with
young children, but I would like to assure you that in addition to the playground
and the pool, the center will offer a rich array of free instructor-led children's
programs, from story time and sing-alongs to drama and science activities.
Whatever your children's needs, we are confident you will find something at the
community center to meet them.
