P = 50200(1+0.09)²

Explanation:

To find the answer to this question we use the equation new value = original value x
d^(n), where d is the multiplier

We are told that our original value is 50200 and to find the multiplier we have to do 1 + 0.09. This is because the population is increasing by 9% which as a decimal is 0.09!

This means that our equation would be P = 50200(1+0.09)²
