Sue has a rectangular garden with an area of 2500 square feet. If the width is 4 times the length, find the number of feet of fencing she would need to enclose her garden.​

L= length, B = breadth

LB=2500 (AREA)..............................i)

B=4L....................................................ii)

substitution:-

L x 4L = 2500

L^2 = 2500/4

L= 25

B=4L

=4x25

=100

L=25, B=100

hence,

peri= 2(L+B)

= 2(125)

= 250 feet.
