let us consider the no. to be x

now,

x+5= 14/x

= x² + 5x=14

=x²+5x -14=0

=x²+7x-2x-14=0

=x(x+7)-2(x+7)=0

=(x+7)(x-2)=0

now x=-7&2

since x is positive the value of x is 2
