Underneath the bright and starry sky,
The fireflies dance and twirl on high,
With moonbeams shining soft and clear,
The world seems still, devoid of fear.
A dragonfly darts here and there,
Its wings a blur, so light and fair,
And all around, the crickets hum,
Their songs so sweet, their joyous sum.
The thunderstorm looms in the distance,
A fierce and fearsome force of persistence,
But even in its wild display,
The raindrops fall, a cool array.
So here we stand, beneath the night,
Our hearts aglow with pure delight,
For in this world of wondrous things,
We find the joy that living brings.
