Answer:

49

Explanation:

Since were using PEMDAS (Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication,Divison,Additon,Subtraction) Divison and Multiplication come before addition so since is it doesn't matted which way we need to go for Multiplication and Divison we do 5 divided by 5 which gets us to 1. So our new equation is 1+4 times 12. Since Multiplication comes before addition is PEMDAS we do 4 times 12 which gets us to 48. Our final equation now is 1+48 which is 49. So our answer is 49.

Answer:

49

Explanation:

Following PEMDAS, which states:

1. parenthesis
2. exponents

3. multiplication/division (from left to right)

4. addition/subtraction (from left to right)

The first step would be 5÷5 because multiplication/division (in this case, we divide because reading the equation from left to right, 5÷5 comes first) comes before addition. 5÷5=1

1+4×12

Then we multiply 4×12 because multiplication/division comes before addition. 4×12=48

1+48

=49
