Propose a solution to your Learning Coach. Suppose you were the student in
the scenario posed in the video. You have a new job in the city and are trying to
determine the best method for you to commute to the job. You can drive in to
the city for your job, which will take you 45 minutes and cost you $60 a week in
the cost of gas, or you can pay $80 a month to take the train to work, which
takes 1 hour and 30 minutes each way. Outline your decision based on your
perception of the costs and benefits associated with each scenario. Explain why
you favor one option over the other based on personal preferences.

I would pay $80 a month and take the train to work. Taking my car to work would be faster but it would cost me $240 a month. Since I am a student it would be in my best interest to save my money and since this is a new job have something to fall back on if I get fired.

Taking the train to work will be longer but it will teach me to be disciplined in getting up on time. And, if I earn enough money to have a car, still have money to fall back on, and not worry about getting fired I will make a good impression on my employers and co-workers.

That is why I would choose to take the train to work. It will save money, I will learn to become more disciplined and I will always have a plan B if I get fired.
