I think there may have been a typo in your part a, which I guessed what it was supposed to be.

Anyway, no absolute value (the straight bars | | ) of a whole number will give you a fraction.

Absolute value is a distance so it is always positive. It appears to--but does not as a rule-- turn the numbers to their opposite. This is why e is false.

On d, both sides of the equation equals 4. So its true.

An absolute value won't ever be equal to a negative number (So c and e are false)

Again, absolute value is the distance from a zero to the number.

So |4| = 4 and also,

|-4| = 4

Because 4 and -4 are both 4 units away from zero.
