What is the simplest form of the expression 6x(x − 4) − 16x2 − (9x − 1)?

Answer: -10x^2 - 33x + 1

\tt 6x\left(x-4\right)-16x^2-\left(9x-1\right)

Apply the distributive property :-


\tt 6x^2-24x-16x^2-9x+1

Combine like terms:-


\tt 6x^2-16x^2=\bf -10x^2


\tt -24x-9x=\bf -33x


\tt 10x^2-33x+1
