First, you need to find the slope.

m=
(rise)/(run) =
(y2 -y1)/(x2-x1)

slope: m= 1/2x

Next, find the y-intercept.

Y-Intercept: 1/2

y=mx+b

Equation: y= 1/2x+1/2

The y-intercept is the point on the y-axis. When you're graphing, you need to graph the y-intercept first. Then graph the slope.

Hope this helps!
