y = 1.2x + 6

When the equation intersects with the x-axis, y = 0

when y = 0

1.2x + 6 = 0

1.2x = -6

x = -6 / 1.2 = -5

\implies \text{The coordinate is} \ (-5, 0)

When the equation intersects with the y-axis, x = 0

When x = 0

y = 1.2(0) + 6

y = 6

\implies \text{The coordinate is} \ (0, 6)

Answer: The intersection with the x − axis and y − axis is the point with coordinates (-5 , 0) and (0 , 6)
