Answer:

none of the above

Explanation:

3(x − 4)² +6 = 0

3(x − 4)² = -6 / : 3

(x − 4)² = -2

x² - 8x + 16 = -2

x² - 8x + 16 + 2 = 0

x² - 8x + 18 = 0

D = b² - 4ac = (-8)² - 4 * 1 * 18 = 64 - 72 = -8 < 0

Since the discriminant is less than zero, this quadratic equation has no solutions, the graph would not cross the x-axis and therefore have no zeros.

Notes:

Hi,

I don't really know what you're asking, so if you could clarify, that would be great. Thanks!

(Do you want me to simplify the equation? Find out what x is?)
