Final answer:

Etiquette classes in the past aimed to teach members of upper-class society rules of conduct and proper behavior to maintain social status and reputation.

Step-by-step explanation:

Etiquette classes in centuries past aimed to teach members of upper-class society about rules of conduct and proper behavior. These classes focused on matters such as dress, table manners, and politeness, which were considered important for maintaining a good reputation and social status. Following these rules of etiquette helped individuals avoid social censure and denunciations for being rude or crude. The aim of these classes was to instill a set of guidelines that would contribute to the quality of life and encourage a better society.

I’m not really sure 100% but it might be teaching them on how the society back then works, lowering woman’s rights and teaching them on how to make money , or leaving behind the lower classes rights of living . For example (lower class not allowed to enter certain places around town for looking poor)
