Name the operations in order that are used to evaluate the expression 20 - [6 + (4 x 3)]

Explanation:

The solve this expression, you have to use PEMDAS rules. PEMDAS stands for Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction. This means that the first thing that you have to do is what is in the parentheses. This is [6 + (4 x 3)]. As I explained before, you have to do multiplication before addition, thus you have to do 4 x 3 first. This is 12, so now you have 6 + 12 in parentheses. Add this to get 18. Now that you are done solving the things in parentheses, you can use the 20 that is outside of the parentheses. You then have 20 - 12. This is 8, so your answer is 8.
