Answer:4 cm is the length of perpendicular BD. :)

Explanation:

Given,

∡B = 90°.

AB = 10cm.

BC =20cm.

To Find,

The length of the side BD.

Solution,

Given that,

BD is perpendicular to the line AC.

10cm is the side Ab

20cm is the side BC.

In a right-angled triangle,

AC =

AC=

AC =

AC = 22.36cm

AC = cm.

The triangle's area = 1/2 *b*h

1/2*20*10.

And it's equal to

1/2*AC*BD.

When equating both equations.

1/2*20*10 = 1/2 *10 * BD

Therefore,

BD = 100 /11.18

BD = 8.944cm

BD = cm.

Hence, 4 cm is the length of perpendicular BD.
