Perfect square trinomial

\boxed{ a^2 \pm 2ab+b^2 = (a \pm b)^2 }

Using the perfect square trinomial

p^2 - 4p + 4 = 0

p^2 - 2(2p) + (2)^2 = 0

(p-2)^2 = 0

(p-2) = 0

p = 2
