so we are given Y so we can plug that in to the equation
Y=8

8= x^2-10x+32 we know what to get all terms on the same side and set the equation equal to 0
-8 on both sides

0= x^2-10x+ 24
We need something that adds to 10 and times to 24 in this case -6 and -4 work
X^2-6x-4x +24
We can now factor
X^2-6x we can take out a x
X(x-6)

-4x+24 we can take out a -4
-4(x-6)
We now have
(X-4)(x-6)
if solving the answer would be x=4,6
If simplifying we can continue on
X-4 can factor out even more
To
(X-2)(x+2)
For a final answer of
(X-2)(x+2)(x-6) - simplified

X= 4,6 -X value answers
