Explanation:

To find the perimeter of a composite shape you have to add all the sides together.

we know that we have

- 16in

- 5in

- 5in

(for the rectangle)

I used the Pythagorean theorem to find the hypotenuse of the triangles (the outer sides)

6^2+b^2=8^2

b = 5.3 (when rounded to the nearest tenth)

so then we add all the sides together which is now

16+5+5+5.3+5.3= 36.6

The closest to this was answer D aka 35 in
