Second, square 8 and get 64

third, multiply 64 times 8

last divide 64 times 8 (which is 512) by 4

USE PEMDAS OR GEMS TO DECIDE THE ORDER

GEMS:

G- groups (parenthesis)

E- exponents

M- multiplication and division (go in order of what comes first in equation)

S- subtraction and addition (go in order of what comes first in equation)
