I can’t really graph it for you but, I can tell you the coords.
a.
So you can just substitute x for any number, in this case let’s do 1.
y = 1/2(1)-5
y = -4.5
So for your first coordinates you have (1, 4.5)
But let’s say you don’t want decimals, instead of x = 1 we can do x = 4.
y = 1/2(4)-5
y = -3
So our coordinates are (4, -3)
Now let’s substitute x for 2.
y = 1/2(2)-5
y = 4
So our next pair of coordinates are (2, 4)
b.
let’s substitute x for 1 again
y = -3 + 5
y = 2
First pair: (1, 2)
Now let’s substitute x for 2 to make our lives easy
y = -6 + 5
y = -1
Second pair: (2, -1)
Done! Hopefully that helps!
