soln,

AC=17

BC =8

AB=?

We know ,

Using Pythagoras theorem,

h^2=p^2 +b^2

17^2 =p^2+8^2

289-64 =p^2

15=p

Now

sinA= p/h =15/17

Cos A =b/h =8/17

Tan A =p/b=15/8
