Let the money be $ x.

After spending $20,

The amount with Tina = x - 20

After receiving $50,

The amount with Rati = x + 50

Amount with Rita = 3 * amount with Tina

x + 50 = 3 * ( x - 20)

x + 50 = 3*x - 3*20

x + 50 = 3x -60

Add 60 to both sides,

x + 50 + 60 = 3x

x + 110 = 3x

Subtract 'x' from both sides,

110 = 3x - x

110 = 2x

Divide both sides by 2,

110 ÷2 = x

55 = x

The money with Tina and Rita at the beginning is $55
