Answer:
Both energy and matter are transported by ocean currents. In the case of the warm ocean currents that become cool as it flows along a coastal area, the transfer of energy is due to the movement of matter. The winds are responsible for moving the ocean currents. As the wind moves, the current absorbs the energy. In turn, the movement of energy or air from different places affects weather and climate conditions.
