Answer:

A = 3

Explanation:

3a - 10 + 8 + a = 2a + 5a - 11\\

Steps:

1) Combine like terms

4a-2 = 7a-11

2) Either subtact 7a from 4a or 4a from 7a. ( I did 7a-4a because so i dont have a negiative in front of my variable)

-2 = 3a -11

3) If u did it like me you add 11 to -2 and add 11 to -11 (which cancel out)

9=3a

4) Divide 3a by 3(which is just a) and 9 divided by 3

3=a

4) Check your answer (just plug in 3 for a and solve. You should get 10=10.)

Hope this helps just let me know if u have any questions about my answer :P
