here 3 parallel lines are intersected by two transversals , then


(1+4x)/(20) =
(15)/(27-15)


(1+4x)/(20) =
(15)/(12) ( cross- multiply )

12(1 + 4x) = 20 × 15 = 300 ( divide both sides by 12 )

1 + 4x = 25 ( subtract 1 from both sides )

4x = 24 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 6
