To graph a line requires two pieces of information that can be extracted from the line's equation.
A line can be defined by two points, this is how standard form equations are graphed. The points are the x-intercept, (C/B, 0), and the y-intercept, (0, C/A).
A line can also be defined by a point and the slope, this is how slope-intercept equations are graphed. The -intercept, b, is the point (0,b), and the slope, m, gives the rise and the run to calculate another point on the graph.
