Why would europeans want to colonize africa ? grographic resons only​

If we are going by geographical reasons than the reason Europeans would want to colonize Africa is the for the resources and surplus of land that could be used for either colonization or exploitation, not only that some areas of the continent would be ripe for new trade routes that could be created to aid Europeans.

Europe saw the colonization of Africa as an opportunity to acquire a surplus population, thus settler colonies were created. With this invasion, many European countries saw Africa as being available to their disposal.
