The government has the moral obligation of providing for the needs of those who are unable to do so within the market forces. It provides insurance payments to its citizens who lose their employment and in times of natural disasters the government gives low cost loans to the people who lose their homes and properties

Answer:

Government

Government is a system of social control under which the right to make laws, and the right to enforce them, is given to a particular group in society. Government power can be held by one individual, a few, or a majority.

Government come in different forms. The basic law determining the form of government is called the constitution and may be written, as in the United States, or largely unwritten, as in Great Britain.

In the present world governments have many jobs including:

  • Providing for the security of their country.
  • Establishing a system of justice so that people are treated fairly.
  • Keeping order.
  • Providing welfare services to those in need.

  • Regulating the economy.
  • Establishing educational systems.
  • steers the economy through fiscal policy by controlling the flow of tax revenue and public spending. A government is in surplus if it receives more income than it spends and a deficit if it spends more than tax and non-tax income.
