The first step would be to find how many players do both activties. So we would need to add 3/8 + 4/5.

I think you may now how to add fractions, but I will explain it anyways.

1. Figure out a common denominator, and find the equivlent fraction

2. Add

15/40 + 32/40 = 37/40

Then we need to figure how many members the fraction 37/40 represents.

As the fraction is already out of 40,

it would represent 37 members.

Therefore, 37 members do both activites.
