Wegener used fossil evidence to support his continental drift hypothesis. The fossils of these organisms are found on lands that are now far apart. Grooves.

Answer:

oceanic vocanoes

Step-by-step explanation:

The continental drift is an idea that the continents can move. Alfred wegner in his evidence of this phenomenon used the following hypothesis:

  • Rocks of same age and type formed side by side and these rocks drifted apart to separate continents. Also as continents drifted apart mountain ranges separated.

  • Alfred used movements from ancient glaciers as evidence,

  • Fossils of dead plants and ancient animals also served as evidence. The fossils of these plants and animals were found on land areas that are now far apart. Wegner concluded that the continental drift was what separated the remains of these fossils.

All of the above was used as evidence. What was not used as hypothesis by Wegner was oceanic volcanoes
