Answer: 1. Dally's parents definitely are the reason Dallas Winston is the way is because dally's parents were never around as much and never paid any attention to him He mentions that his dad does not care where he is, or even he is dead. His mother is never discussed.

2. The other side of Dally that is revealed in this chapter is his side that cares for others and is a true hero inside. Because he was willing to jump into the church to save the children and go after pony-boy and johnny.

3. my definition of a hero is someone who is willing to do something extremely brave even with their own life on the line in order to save someone elses life. The boys do prove their selves to be heroes they put their own lives at risk in order to save the children which clearly makes them true heros.

4. I believe Johnny wasn't scared of the fire because johnny losing his own life didn't matter as much to him because he already had it very rough at home he just wanted to save someone else's life in which he believes was worth living.

5. The irony during the conversation of the ambulance ride was wether johnny and dally were still alive and pony-boy belived they had caught them and the police were finally going to get johnny and pony for the murder of bob.

Step-by-step explanation:

Answer:

1) It is likely that Dally's parents have influenced the way he is and his personality. It is common for a person's upbringing and family life to shape their beliefs, values, and behaviors.

2) In this chapter, a more compassionate and caring side of Dallas is revealed. He is shown to be protective of Johnny and Ponyboy, and he takes the time to comfort them after the fire.

3) A hero is typically defined as a person who is admired or idealized for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. In this context, the three boys in the book may be considered heroes if they are shown to exhibit courage and selflessness in their actions. It is up to the reader to decide whether they meet these criteria

4) Johnny may not have been scared because he was in shock or because he was focused on getting out of the building safely. Alternatively, he may have been used to dangerous situations and was able to remain calm in the face of danger.

5) The conversation in the ambulance is ironic because the boys are discussing how they are not heroes, even though they have just performed a heroic act by saving the children from the burning building. This is an example of situational irony.
