Since there are no exponents, we don't need to do the e. no multiplication or division. so now we add and subtract to get x. first ill subtract 3x from both sides. 5x-5=4x+7. now subtract 5x from both sides. -5=-x+7. after that, subtract 7 from both sides. -12=-x. then divide by -1 so we can get only x and not a negative x. 12=x. so, the answer is x=12.
