The multiplication of
(2.3 * 10^4) * (6.6 * 10^7) by using scientific notation is
15.18 * 10^(11).

Multiplication of scientific notation.

Scientific notation is a method of writing large numbers in mathematics in a very smaller way. The method of multiplying scientific notation can be done by making use of the laws of indices.

Given that:

= (2.3 * 10^4) * (6.6 * 10^7)

We will multiply the decimal numbers separately and the power to which the exponents are being raised to will be added together because they have the same base (10).

= (2.3* 6.6) * (10^(4+7))

= 15.18 * 10^(11)

Therefore, the multiplication of
(2.3 * 10^4) * (6.6 * 10^7) by using scientific notation is
15.18 * 10^(11).
