The number of student tickets and adult tickets sold are 60 and 30 respectively.

From the information given, we can create a system of equation thus ;

  • students ticket = x
  • Adult ticket = y

x = y + 30 ____ (1)

4.50x + 9y = 540 ___(2)

From the graph, the point of intersection of the graph is :

  • x = 60 ; y = 30

Hence, the number of student tickets and adult tickets sold are 60 and 30 respectively.
