The simplest form of the expression is : y = -1/2 +3x/4

Using the expression given for our Calculation;

  • 3x - 4y = 2

Isolate -4y

-4y = 2 - 3x

divide both sides by -4

-4y/-4 = (2 - 3x) / -4

Now we have :

y = -1/2 +3x/4

Hence, the expression becomes : y = -1/2 +3x/4
