The Civil Rights Act of 1960 did all of the following except what?

A.) Specify the voting records must be held for 22 months after an election
B.) Assessed penalties for individuals who used explosives and fled the state
C.) Eliminated all poll taxes
D.) Assessed penalties for individuals guilty of obstructing voting or voter registration

Explain why you chose that said answer so I can understand this answer, I've been stuck on this for ages and really have no idea...

Answer:

I believe the answer is C.) Eliminated all poll taxes. While the Civil Rights Act of 1960 did establish penalties for obstructing voting or voter registration and for individuals who used explosives and fled the state, it did not eliminate all poll taxes. Poll taxes were not fully abolished until the 24th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified in 1964.
