The length of side C is 9.7

How to find the length of side c

The the length of side c is calculated using the sine rule which sates that the ratio of a side and the opposite angles are equal to each other

The triangle is an isosceles triangle since side a = b, so the angles are solved as follows

= (180 - 44) / 2

= 68

a = b = 68 degrees

Sine rule

Sine A / a = Sine B / b = Sine C / c

applying the formula for the problem

Sine A / a = Sine C / c

Sine 68 / 13 = Sine 44 / c

cross multiplying

c = 13 * Sine 44 / Sine 68

c = 9.7398

c = 9.7 to the nearest tenth

If a = 13, b = 13, and C = 44°, then find the length of side c. • Enter your answer-example-1
