Answer: Soluble:- substances which are able to be dissolved to form a solution.

eg: salt, sugar

Insoluble:- substances which are impossible to dissolve to form any solution.

eg: mustard oil, chalk powder

Partially soluble:- substances which dissolve only when a small amount of solute is added. They do not dissolve if large amount is added.

eg:- acetone, phenol
