The equation of the line is written as y = 2/3 x - 5

How to write the equation

The equation graphed is written in the slope intercept form s below

y = mx + c

where

m = slope

x = intercept

The slope is represented as m, The slope by definition is the ratio change of the output values to the input values

the slope, m is calculated using the points on the graph (3, 3) and (6, 5)

m = (y₀ - y₁) / (x₀ - x₁)

m = ( 3 - 5) / (3 - 6)

m = (-2) / (-3)

m = 2/3

Using point (3, 3) and the point - slope formula we solve for c

y - 3 = 2/3 (x - 3), m = 2/3

y - 3 = 2/3 x - 2

y = 2/3 x - 5

The equation of the line is y = 2/3 x - 5
