Montana is known for having very chilly winters. One night, the temperature was falling by 2 degrees Fahrenheit each hour. At sunset, the temperature was -5 degrees Fahrenheit. How many hours will it take for the temperature to reach -19° F?​

According to question


-5+x(-2)=-19

Where we taking 2 negative because temperature decreases.


-5-2x=-19


-5+19=2x


14=2x


x=(14)/(2)


x=7

Hence, it will take 7 hours for the temperature to reach -19° F.
